Las Vegas, NV (April 11, 2010) -Troy Vandenbilche rolled a pair of 1's at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Sunday afternoon scoring consecutive 1st place finishes in the Spring Shootout double feature. The Golden, BC driver also brought the #80 Vandenbilt Auto Body Chevrolet Monte Carlo home in second place in yesterdays season opener at The Bullring. Kevin Abel (Calgary, AB) matched Vandenbilche with three podiums for the #33 Setco Industries Chevrolet Impala notching a pair of seconds and a third place finish. First 40-lap Baby Grand Nationals feature: 1. Troy Vandenbilche, 2. Kevin Abel, 3. Kyle Vriesinga, 4. Dale Edwards, 5. Bill Bylington, 6. Sara Jo Paquette, 7. Robert Dennison, 8. Matt Potter, 9. Robert Stone, 10. Cameron Hayley. Second 40-lap Baby Grand Nationals feature: 1. Troy Vandenbilche, 2. Cameron Hayley, 3. Kevin Abel, 4. Kyle Vriesinga, 5. Bill Bylington, 6. Robert Stone, 7. Matt Potter, 8. Robert Dennison, 9. Sara Jo Paquette. The Baby Grand series opens their Canadian season May 22 at Edmonton Internation Raceway and will visit Vernon, BC in June, a special Saturday (Kalispell) and Sunday (Polson) doubleheader in Montana on the July 4th holiday weekend, Regina, SK in July, Medicine Hat, AB in August and make their first ever visit to Auto Clearing Motor Speedway in Saskatoon, SK on the 4th of September. |

Las Vegas, NV (April 10, 2010) - The Baby Grand Stock Cars of Canada opened their 2010 Championship season Saturday night with the first race of a triple header weekend at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Western Junior Pro Division champion and 2009 Baby Grand Stock Car Association of Canada champion Cameron Hayley (Calgary, AB) and the #24 Cabinets by Hayley Chevrolet Monte Carlo team opened the 2010 season in the same fashion as last year with a victory in the 1st feature. Veteran drivers Troy Vandenbilche (Golden, BC) #80 Vandenbilt Auto Body Chevrolet Monte Carlo and Kevin Abel (Calgary, AB) #33 Setco Industries Chevrolet Impala were second and third in the group of Alberta and BC teams along with West Coast US cars. The Calgary-based touring stockcar series will run a feature race on Saturday night and two feature races on Sunday afternoon on the 3/8-mile asphalt oval as part of The Bullring's Spring Shootout weekend.
